Do llamas spit?

Yes, but only at other llamas. It's their way of arguing! They won't spit at you.

Do we need any special equipment to go llama trekking?

Just good walking shoes, or runners (baskets or trainers), or wellies. Definitely not sandals or flip-flops. On hot days, a sunhat and suncream would be a good idea, and of course if it's wet, then wear a raincoat.

Are you only open in the summer?

No, we are open all year round.

Can we just turn up for a trek?

Treks need to be booked in advance. We need to round up the llamas (usually not a problem, but every now and again someone decides to be naughty so it can take a little while!), groom them and spray them with fly repellant (our homemade aromatherapy mixture) and get ourselves ready too. And of course, if you did just turn up without booking, then you might find the llamas already out on a trek and we'd hate to disappoint you.

What about the guided visits?

No, you don't need to book those. Come along any time between 2pm and 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays in December.

Do you have other animals apart from llamas?

You bet! We have alpacas, a goat, lots of cats, a dog, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks and chickens. They are all very tame and love to make new friends.

Are you easy to find?

Les Fragnes is about 1.5 km from Nouzerines, 15 km from Boussac. The best way to find us is to head into Nouzerines village. On the wall in front of the boulangerie is a large signpost. Now, Les Fragnes isn't on it (not yet anyway) so instead follow directions to Montpetut. You'll go up a hill, dip down briefly at Les Combes, then climb up again to a crossroads. Go straight across here and now you'll see Les Fragnes signposted. You pass through Montpetut - 2 houses, 1 on each side! - and straight away you'll see a sign to Les Fragnes pointing left. There's a wooden llama hanging from it - you just can't miss it!
